The Fitzroy South Granite Rock Quarry is located approximately 35km from the town site of Fitzroy Crossing and 10km south of the closed underground Pillara mine site.
The land holding covering the granite resource is a combination of a three leases; mining, exploration and miscellaneous access. The general location of the approved mining lease is approximately only 4km from the Great Northern Highway. The nearby location of the granite formation site to the Great Northern highway provides excellent access to the site for the future delivery of products to customers. The Kimberley quarry site is surrounded on three sides by the sedimentary formations of the Pillara Range and Limestone Billy Hills in the distance. These formations provide excellent protection to the granite quarry from the Fitzroy River flood plain area.
The Fitzroy South Quarry project is targeting to produce a range of granite products that will conform to AS2758.
